UB’s application process is entirely online. Find the program you’re interested in, and then click the link to access the online application. When you begin your online application, please make sure to choose a degree program from the drop-down list before moving to other parts of the application. Have questions? We want to help. - The program you are interested in does not offer admission in the term you selected. Please check that you have selected an appropriate entry term.
- The application hasn't yet been opened for the entry term you are seeking. Degree and certificate program applications are generally opened for a calendar year in the preceding July, August or September. Non-degree applications are generally opened two to three months before the start of classes.
- The program is no longer accepting applications. Programs with hard deadlines close at 11:59 p.m. ET on the deadline date, while programs with priority deadlines generally close four weeks before the start of classes.
Deadlines
Some programs specify rolling deadlines. In these cases, the first date listed is a priority deadline. Any applications received by this deadline will receive full consideration for admission and scholarships. Applications received after the priority deadline will be considered until either the rolling deadline is reached, or when the program has reached capacity for the semester. Applications submitted after the program reaches capacity will be considered for the following term.

The English and social studies education initial-only programs are not accepting applications for the 2025 academic year.
Social studies education is only accepting initial/professional applications for the Teacher Residency Program’s 2025 academic year.
