Micro-Credentials

Smaller than a minor, certificate or degree program, micro-credentials are focused learning experiences designed to develop specific skills or knowledge in a short amount of time. These programs provide you with digital badges—shareable online credentials that showcase your achievements and demonstrate your expertise to employers, colleagues, and peers. Micro-credentials are a flexible, purpose-driven way to enhance your career or explore new areas of interest.

Doctoral Research at GSE

As a leading research institution, we don’t just teach a new generation of practitioners. We use research to shape those practices. Whether on campus or in the field, our faculty and students use hard data to make a difference locally, nationally and internationally.

The Graduate School of Education’s research centers, labs and institutes solve some of education’s most complex challenges. Students join researchers to prevent bullying, improve the way we teach about Black history and race and decode how learning happens in infants and toddlers.

Even as a student, you’ll conduct research with the power to make a difference. Show off your work at our annual Student Research Symposium, a two-day event that gives students in every GSE discipline the chance to present papers, participate in panels and network with leading professionals in the field.

A Blueprint for the Future

The best way to ensure learners in underserved districts can thrive? Make sure the teachers who work there are prepared to excel. Our Teacher Residency Program, a partnership between the Graduate School of Education and area public schools, has earned millions of dollars in grants since launching—and the U.S. Department of Education lauds it as a national model others should follow. Our students and graduates are making an immediate difference in the classroom. They are better prepared to meet the challenges of teaching in diverse environments and are more likely to stay in the profession, creating lasting, positive impacts on their students and communities.
