Achieve Fluency and Expertise

The UB Teach Spanish education program is a five-year accelerated degree allowing you to earn both a Spanish BA and a Spanish education EdM. It provides expertise in Spanish language and culture while preparing you to teach grades 7 to 12, with an extension for grades 1 to 6. 

Enrolled students will:

  1. Develop language competence and communicative strategies for cross-cultural, global interaction.
  2. Enhance research and analytical skills to interpret sources and produce original research.
  3. Participate in intensive clinical education experiences in diverse Western New York schools.
  4. Gain skills, expertise and confidence to implement evidence-based practices and co-teach with an expert teacher during a one-year residency.
