Research Interests

Development and implementation of evidence-based interventions and assessments for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, parental adherence and integrity to child behavior plans and its effect on child response to intervention, and facilitating parental engagement and empowerment in child intervention.

Summary Faculty Mentor

Samantha Stanford is a native of Williamsville, New York. She is a fourth-year student in the Combined School and Counseling Psychology PhD program at the University at Buffalo, with a concentration in school psychology. Samantha is specializing in working with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurobehavioral disorders. She is currently conducting her dissertation through the Institute for Autism Research (IAR) at Canisius College which examines informant discrepancies in the assessment of social-communication skills and behavioral/interest flexibility among children diagnosed with ASD without intellectual disability.
