    Each year, faculty select deserving colleagues, students and alumni to be honored over the course of commencement week. Honors include a student commencement ceremony speaker and awards include the Distinguished Alumni Award, Excellence in Inclusion and Belonging Award, Excellence in Community Outreach and Engagement Award, PhD Excellence Award, Excellence in Research Award and the PhD Mentorship Award.

    The GSE Excellence in Inclusion and Belonging award recognizes a GSE faculty member who demonstrates a commitment to the ideals of inclusion and belonging. Nominees may demonstrate this commitment through research, teaching, service and/or outreach.
  • GSE Faculty Service, Teaching, Advising and Research Awards (STAR)

    The GSE Faculty S.T.A.R. Awards were established by GSE’s Executive Committee in 2013 to recognize the outstanding contributions of faculty in four areas essential to GSE’s mission: Service, Teaching, Advising, and Research. These awards honor individual excellence in each area, based on GSE workload guidelines and contributions to the school’s strategic plan. Nominations are reviewed by the GSE Scholarship and Awards Committee.
  • Dr. Conrad F. Toepfer, Jr. Mentorship Award

    The Dr. Conrad F. Toepfer, Jr. Mentorship Award was established in honor of the late Dr. Conrad F. Toepfer, Jr., an educator who has been widely recognized and remembered for his exceptional role in mentoring students and colleagues.

All award winners will be announced at the annual faculty and staff end-of-year luncheon with a celebration and photo planned for the recipients. For funded proposals, the earliest project starting date will be early August.
