The GSE Faculty S.T.A.R. Awards were established by GSE’s Executive Committee in 2013 to recognize the outstanding contributions of faculty in four areas essential to GSE’s mission: Service, Teaching, Advising, and Research. These awards honor individual excellence in each area, based on GSE workload guidelines and contributions to the school’s strategic plan. Nominations are reviewed by the GSE Scholarship and Awards Committee.
Any full-time faculty member (tenure-track and non-tenure track) is eligible for nomination. Everyone is eligible for all four categories of Service, Teaching, Advising, and Research each year (including previous winners and those faculty members who may have been on sabbatical for part of the nomination year).
Nominations for this year are based on faculty efforts performed July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025. Anyone can nominate candidates for any award; self-nominations are also accepted. The nominating letter should provide evidence of excellence such as brief student testimonials, community testimonials, examples of student work, or other recommendations. A nomination letter is required. Any additional supporting documents (e.g., additional nomination letters, support examples) are optional but welcome.
To be announced.
Winners will be announced at the spring GSE all faculty staff meeting.
