Intersectionality of Blackness and Sexuality
Jahare Hudson is a PhD student in the counseling psychology program in the Department of Counseling, School and Educational Psychology and a Schomburg Fellow. He received a BS and BA in psychology and sociology from Canisius University in May 2024. Jahare's research interests include understanding the impact of an individual having marginalized identities (race, sexuality, religion, etc.) that may conflict with one another culturally. After graduation, he plans to become a licensed counseling psychologist and conduct therapy with minoritized individuals. Also, he plans to engage more with community activism. Outside of his studies, Jahare loves reading, writing and hanging out with friends.
