Dean’s Advisory Council

The purpose of the Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC) is to assist the UB Graduate School of Education (GSE) by providing external perspective, advocacy, and support for the school’s programs and strategic priorities. The DAC focuses on strategic priorities related to research-practice partnerships. Immersing the work of researchers in local contexts is critical to our shared understanding of the constraints, tensions and opportunities our school and community partners face and to our ability to engage in relevant research designed to improve practice. As such, the Dean’s Advisory Council is aligned with the goals of research-practice partnerships, through which researchers and Community Based Educational Institutions (CBEI) can collaboratively explore problems of practice and produce accessible, actionable findings.
