She took her curiosity about the supports in schools, crafted a dissertation study—“Constructing the Realities of (Dis)ability: How Institutional Arrangements and School Typologies Undergird the CSE Process”—and won a national award.

She gets energy for her own sometimes exhausting daily work, as a graduate student and government official, when she sees young people hanging out on the streets with nothing to do.
  • UB receives $293,000 to support neurodiverse students in computer science

    A $293,000 grant from the National Science Foundation will help a UB team of investigators lead an effort to create more inclusive college classrooms that recognize the neurodiversity of students by building micro-credential training courses for computer science faculty.
