The primary objective of the brand identity development process is to create a strong, comprehensive system of visual identity and application, clarify the university’s nomenclature, and help standardize the application of the brand identity across the university.
To help ensure a cohesive and professional visual presence across all departments, centers, programs, and offices within the Graduate School of Education, it’s important that all communications feature the GSE logo and follow the university brand guidelines. This section provides guidance on using key elements of GSE’s visual identity. For additional details, please refer to the UB Communications Toolbox.
If you have any questions about GSE brand elements or how to apply them, please contact Amber M. Winters, assistant dean for marketing and director of communications. We're here to help!
UB Trademarks and Licensing manages the proper use of the University at Buffalo’s name, logos and signature marks to protect the integrity of the university’s identity, brand and reputation. All employees and students, as well as outside vendors, must work with our representatives to create branded apparel or other merchandise with any UB lockup, mark or name.
Branded merchandise requires a specific trademarked version of our logo/lockup, in a vector file type. Merchandise is also subject to additional guidelines. If you are ordering merchandise with the Graduate School of Education lockup or a department, office, center or institute logo, please email Amber M. Winters or call 716-645-4590 for help with the process.
