Hello everyone! I am Weiyi Ding. I came from Wuxi, China. This is my sixth year studying in the U.S. I graduated from the Ohio State University majoring in psychology and criminology for my bachelor’s degree and then graduated from Miami University in educational psychology for my master’s degree.
I am very enthusiastic about research examining the relationship between family environment and students’ learning behaviors, including potential problems regarding motivation, self-esteem, mental health problems and technology that promotes education and communication. Also, I am interested in adolescent development in general and cultural diversities in education.
Currently, I am involved in federal grants alongside my advisor, Dr. Kim. My role involves assisting with data collection and analysis processes for publications, utilizing analytical methods such as structural equation modeling (SEM) and survival analysis. I hope to learn more about these topics at UB and dedicate more effort to researching them.
