Toniqua Lawrence is a Buffalo native and graduated in 2021 from the University at Buffalo with her bachelor's degree in psychology. She is a third-year student in counseling and school psychology. Her research interests include multicultural competency in counseling, spirituality and religiosity within therapeutic interventions, and racial minority mental health. Her current research projects include the impact of spirituality/religiosity on the mental health of Black college students and diversity-related burnout, self-compassion and hope among diversity professionals in higher education.
