Ying Li is a first-year PhD student in the foreign and second language education (language education and multilingualism) program. She is interested in research related to higher education, adult English language education and ways to improve students' communicative learning, especially the listening and speaking domains since these two are of vital importance for students’ future development. Ying holds a Master in Translation and Interpreting and a BA in English from China. She spent more than five years tutoring English to students from different age groups, ranging from kids in kindergarten to adults in their 40s or 50s. She enjoys exploring new places, sports, cooking and listening to music.
