Liza Fiorello is a fourth-year PhD student in Curriculum, Instruction and Science of Learning. She hopes to research the use of online games in instruction for students with emotional and/or behavioral disabilities. With limited research available on the use of online games, also known as Digital Game-Based Learning, for students with emotional and/or behavioral disabilities, Liza is interested in addressing the present gap in literature as well as exploring how online games are used for this student population. Liza holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University at Buffalo, a Master of Education in Adolescence Special Education from SUNY Buffalo State College, and a BA in Exceptional/Elementary Education from SUNY Buffalo State College. She has worked in the special education field as a teacher and an administrator. Liza enjoys ice skating and traveling.
