Summary Faculty Mentor

Florence Obielodan is a fifth-year student pursuing a PhD in Curriculum, Instruction and the Science of Learning (CISL). Her research interest is in exploring teaching and learning methods for equitable learning of mathematics, particularly for underprepared and less motivated students. Currently, she is comparing students’ learning gains from two different instructional models. Florence holds a master's in mathematics from Utah State University and a master's in business administration from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She began teaching mathematics in 1993 and has taught middle school through undergraduate college levels. Her pastimes include cooking, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her family.
