The UB Libraries own more than 4 million print volumes as well as media and special collections. Computers located throughout the Libraries provide access to 360+ research databases and more than 150,000 electronic journals and thousands of e-books. Many of these resources can only be found in the University Libraries and are unavailable elsewhere in Western New York.
The IS Student Lounge is open to all Information Science students for study groups, meetings and networking. Students can often be found there before class, helping each other with assignments and brainstorming new approaches to library related topics. The lounge also features a fridge, microwave and coffee maker for students’ convenience. It is located on the 5th floor of Baldy Hall (543). Students are welcome to ask anyone in the IS department office for the door code (or just knock!).
