Information Use
Kerri Shaffer, MEd, MLIS, is studying information poverty theory as it relates to medical students specifically, and the medical field in general. She received a BA in philosophy and cognitive science from the University of Utah, an MLIS from San Jose State University, and an MEd in education, culture and society from the University of Utah. Her research interests include implicit bias, QuantCrit, medical education and instructional design. She is a co-recipient of the Donald A.B. Lindbergh research fellowship, using virtual reality to study implicit bias in medical trainees.
