Professional Summary:

My research and teaching interests focus on digital literacy and information behavior/information practices. I have also taught research methods, management, and marketing. I am a past editor of the Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science, and served on the editorial board of Library & Information Science Research and Cosmopolitan Civil Societies: An Interdisciplinary Journal. Currently I serve on the editorial boards for the Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science, Open Information Science, the Journal of the Association for Information Science & Technology, the Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, the Pakistan Journal of Information Management and Libraries, and the Annual Review of Information Science and Technology. I also serve on the editorial advisory board for Information and Learning Sciences. I am a past President of the Canadian Association for Information Science, and am active in the Association for Information Science & Technology where I served as chair of SIG USE. I am also Past-President of the Association for Library & Information Science Education.
