Professional Summary:

Dr. Luis Antonio Tosado II, NCC, NCSC is a Clinical Associate Professor and program director for the school counseling program. His research and scholarly interests are related to the college readiness of Latino youth and emergent bilingual students; the social justice advocacy and leadership role of school counselors in urban school districts; and interventions such as Brief Solution Focused Counseling, Restorative Practices, and Financial Counseling. His professional school counseling experiences have been in urban middle schools and high schools, in both Texas and Maryland. Before beginning his professional school counseling career Dr. Tosado served as an elementary teacher. He is also a veteran and served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves and Army National Guard.
