Laureen P. Cantwell, MSLIS (Drexel University), works as the head of access services and outreach at Colorado Mesa University. Her primary research interests are the intersection of curiosity and information seeking behavior, specifically within health sciences students but also within the field of librarianship. Past research projects have focused on topics such as MOOCs, academic library outreach initiatives to STEM majors, virtual reference, digital badging and impacts of reference desk interactions. She recently co-edited Finding Your Seat at the Table with Susan M. Harnett (UFL), about academic librarians on IRBs and IACUCs (Rowman & Littlefield, Feb. 2022), and is currently in the early stages of another book-length co-editing project for Spatial Literacy and Public Health (ACRL). She also serves as layout editor for Marketing Libraries Journal and Collaborative Librarianship.
