Summary Faculty Mentor

Over the past year, I have focused on using large-scale secondary data (e.g., PISA) to investigate the relationship between online education, student performance (e.g., reading, mathematics, science), online self-efficacy and student self-regulated ability (e.g., motivational belief, cognitive strategy, metacognition). By analyzing this dataset, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of online education and explore the connections between student performance and their self-regulated abilities.

This year of research has not only broadened my academic horizons but has also enhanced my data analysis and research skills. In the future, I intend to delve further into this area to explore the interaction between online education and student performance comprehensively. My goal is to provide more robust evidence to inform improvements in educational policies and practices. My research interests encompass the utilization of survival analysis to investigate the factors that impact STEM access and success among female students.
