Research Interests

Prevention and intervention science for at-risk and marginalized people, including children and adolescents, the LGBTQ+ community, and people with serious and persistent mental illness.

Summary Faculty Mentor

My professional identity as an emerging counseling psychologist centers around my passion for applied research in prevention and intervention science, as well as my commitment to equity, diversity, justice and inclusion (EDJI). With a long-term career goal of working in research and academia, I am involved in a multitude of research projects aimed towards prevention and intervention for children and adolescents in bullying, sexual harassment, cyberbullying and sexual abuse. It is central to my identity that I engage in meaningful work which directly impacts the participants and the populations I study. I am also interested in applied work, namely with those with serious mental illness and my LGBTQ+ community. As a scientist practitioner, I work towards integrating science and practice; therefore, I am currently involved in two additional research teams which I helped develop.
