Get a Valuable Education that is Affordable

As a public school in the SUNY system, the University at Buffalo has a worldwide reputation for excellence, but costs much less than private schools. In addition, the cost of living in Buffalo is well below the national average. Your dollar simply goes further here.

In addition to working with faculty researchers throughout our department and UB, you will benefit from opportunities with our community research partners.

Teachers do much more than simply teach. They inspire, mentor and make a difference in the lives of their students. Their own love of learning makes them passionate about teaching. Whether you want to become a teacher or are already one - now's the time to complete your degree and certification if you desire. Employment opportunities exist as New York State and others are facing a current and future teacher shortage.

As a graduate, you will be equipped to find professional employment in

  • public, private and charter schools as teachers at all grade levels
  • colleges and universities as members of the faculty. You will also find career opportunities as
  • public and private industry, as well as government agencies as researchers
