The GSE Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion award recognizes a GSE faculty member who demonstrates a commitment to the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Nominees may demonstrate this commitment through research, teaching, service and/or outreach.
Criteria for selection include a broad range of activities such as research or teaching that extends our understanding of inclusion; campus involvement and service that enhances the university’s commitment to inclusive excellence; efforts to recruit and/or retain a diverse student body and a diverse faculty.
To nominate: please send the name of the nominee and a one-two paragraph explanation of their efforts to enhance diversity and inclusion through their research, teaching, or service to gsedean@buffalo.edu. Please be sure to include “GSE Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion” in the subject line to distinguish these nominations from the STAR nominations.
