Fascinate Students with Logic

The UB Teach mathematics education program is a five-year, accelerated combined degree program earning you both a BA in mathematics and an EdM in mathematics education. It equips you with content expertise while preparing you to teach grades 5 to 12. You will study in both the Department of Mathematics and the Graduate School of Education's Department of Learning and Instruction.

Students enrolled in this program will:

  • Explore the beauty of mathematics through quantity, space, and structure.
  • Enhance problem-solving and analytical skills for a teaching career.
  • Engage in intensive clinical education experiences with diverse Western New York schools.
  • Develop expertise and confidence to apply evidence-based practices in the classroom.
  • Co-teach with an expert teacher during a one-year residency.
